Celebrating 80-degrees with Neil…

Hitting the very cold 55-degrees in Los Angeles has been the biggest topic on everyone’s tongue in the last few weeks.  (Just check out Jimmy Kimmel’s collection of very cautious reporters announcing the city’s demise here.)  So when this past weekend hit 80-degrees in the City of Angels, I had to celebrate by introducing NEIL, the handsome, funny, multi-talented TV writer who enjoyed dipping in the pool for our shoot.  Neil is outspoken, smart, creative, jovial… he is an overall beautiful soul (as revealed by his answers below.)  He is kind of the perfect man.  The best part?  Neil is OUR FIRST MAN TO BE FEATURED!  And from now on, we will be featuring men every other week.  Ladies, I won’t let you down.   xSK

First Name: Neil
Age: 32
Designer and color of your eyeglasses: IZOD Gunmetal frames
Hometown: Tulsa, OK
Current LA City of Residence: Los Angeles, CA
Occupation: Animated television producer
Aspiration: Film and television creator

How do you think you look different or the same with having your
eyeglasses on or off?
I feel a little more undercover, if you will.   Like all fashion statements, I feel they add a visual accent to my visual persona.

When I wear my eyeglasses, I feel like:  I am a little more complete and ready for the world.  They have been a part of me for my entire adult life.

How do eyeglasses accentuate beauty?   Just as the light and shadow created by our features are what others recognize about us, glasses become another facial feature, in a sense. Beautiful glasses add to our beautiful faces!

Is it true that guy don’t like girls who wear glasses?  No way! Glasses are a feature that can accentuate anyone’s natural beauty!

If someone made a movie about my life, the title would be:  Here, There and Everywhere Else

The book that made me cry is: Cassandra, by Krista Wolfe
because: Cassandra could see the future with such certainty, yet, she was helpless to prevent the imminent decline of her entire society. The sense of helplessness was heartbreaking!

A famous actor or actress I would love to date is: I would love to date Neil Patrick Harris!  because: it’d be cute for our friends to say “The Neils are coming over.” Also, nothing is sexier than a talented, humorous man.

Do you think the man should pay for the first date, in this modern day
and age?  Why or why not? In my experience, absolutely. It’s more a matter of which man is richer. ;)

If the average human life was 30 years, I would live my life differently by: living a completely nomadic life and experiencing as diverse a human experience as I possibly could!

If I could offer a newborn 1 piece of advice, it would be: happiness is a decision you make, but living and sharing in love is essential to that decision benefiting you!

One thing I have not done that I always wanted to do is: spend time in outer space.

One thing I have done that I wish I hadn’t is:  gone to college without spending some time on my own first.

Do you push the elevator button more than once?  If so, why? I used to, out of impatience. I’ve since worked at living a more patient, understanding life. There is really no practical reason to waste the energy it takes to push the button a second time; I like to devote said energy to daydreaming while I wait.

Would you rather lose all of your old memories or not have the ability to form new ones? Between those two, I’d be willing to lose my old memories. It is always possible to rebuild with the new memories.

One thing I would do if I knew nobody would judge me is: live completely naked all the time.

Any other comments or self insights or quirks you want to say to the world? Do something joyous today, then do something joyous for someone else, please… And for now, just smile!

The Thinker.

Neil takes swimming with glasses on very seriously.

Frames off, just for kicks… smile away Neil!
